WE PURIFY AIR BY ELIMINATING: - ETHYLENE - ODOURS - MICROORGANISMS (Bacteria and fungi spores): BY ELIMINATING CONTAMINANTS IN THE AIR, PRODUCE MANTAINS ITS QUALITY DURING DISTRIBUTION PROCESS. Potassium Permanganate is an effective Oxidizing Agent of Ethylene and Primary Pollutants such as: SO2,NOx, H2S and many other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
Principle of air purification by ethylene scrubbers: PHYSICAL ADSORPTION related to the large specific surface of those clays (400m2/gr) ANTI-MICROBIAL ACTION - Permanganate is a powerful disinfectant (Condy’s disinfectant): it oxidizes the sulfhidriles groups of the enzymes of microorganisms:
SH- + so2 = +H2O
- Bacteria in contact with the filter encounters a pH of 9.2, higher than their limit for survival. - Clays are negatively charged and attract positive particles, above which most of the microorganisms regularly move in the air.

BI - ON
consists of a mixture of porous clays (Sepiolite and Zeolite) with Potassium Permanganate (KMnO4).
  Granule saturation:
The active life of granules is inversely proportional to the levels of volatiles in the air emitted by each variety of produce. Its colour turns from purple (active) to brown (saturated).  

Comments:
The machines are designed to renew the air in approximately 4 hours (this data varies depending on the volume of the room, and the produce within).

Ethylene Clean Machines

Functions:The system is designed for forced-air circulation through the ‘BI-ON®’ granule, inside fresh produce storage and distribution facilities. The ETH machines come in different size models, for different size rooms. The ETHYCLEAN machines have also been tested for air-flow ventilation, and comply with the following standards:  ANS/AMCA standard 210-85 ANSI/ASHRAE 51-1985 UNE 100-212-89 BS 848, Part 1

1. vacuuming air inside the machine
2. Purification of air free from Ethylene and Microbes
3. Blowing purified air out
4. Circulation of purified air
